Welcome
May 5, 2006
Welcome to the SEEDlings blog.
This blog and accompanying wiki is for educators interested in learning how to use technology to achieve Maine’s Learning Results.
This is an open blog and everyone is welcome into the garden.
So, what’s with the name?
The name stems from a bunch of Maine educators that just won’t let go! Recently, a group of educators most of whom has connections to SEED (http://seed.mainecenter.org) gathered and expressed the desire to continue working and playing together.
So, where’s this going?
Frankly, I have no idea, but I’m in.
So, who are you?
I was the technology facilitator for SEED and I believe the person who started using the term “SEEDling” on a regular basis. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.
So, what’s next?
Hopefully, a bunch of posts from old and new friends.

After reading Mike’s e-mail and feeling very guilty…here’s my post. I’m meeting with the ladies from the Center for Educational Transformation today to brainstorm ideas for a visionary technology session at the promising futures conference this summer….Collaborative tools (subetha edit, writely, blogging), Podcasts/Podcasting, Photo essays…ways to incorporate literacy into technology and show “leadership” that/how these things are important….maybe this comment belongs in a new topic/category…Random thoughts…ideas on development?? ~Steph.

Thanks for the information Mike! I guess I’m a Seedling now. Hope to grow fast and furiously in this ever-changing mecca! I’m feeling very excited about the promising futures we are all encountering and implementing. Laura
