Calling All SEEDlings…

In keeping with the spirit of sharing and professional development, we
will meet virtually this month.

The date is February 15th 5:00 PM EST

The purpose of our meetings will be to:
Share online technology treasures, or “Geek of the Week”
Provide support for technology integrators and leaders
Discuss educational technology needs, resources, and best practices
and
Have a good time

Our meeting will take on Skype. We will meet on Thursday February
15th from 5PM to 7PM.

If you have never joined a SkypeCast before, you will need the following:
Download Skype 2.0 or newer on to a Mac OS X v10.3.9 Panther or newer,
G4 800 Mhz and above, any G5 or any Intel processor,
512MB RAM,
Set up your Skype Account with username
40 MB free disk space on your hard drive
a microphone.

Typically you can use the built in microphone and a set of headphones, or an iSight (as a microphone) with headphones. The headphones are good for reducing feedback. It’s a good idea to launch the Skypecast in Firefox first and then let Firefox open Skype for you.
